My name is Sarah and I am a fully qualified counsellor.
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am also trained in treating Complex Trauma and the ‘styles’ in which it can manifest such as panic disorders, anxiety, depression and addictions, feelings of being emotionally overwhelmed, chronic people pleasing, low self-esteem, feelings of hopelessness and being frequently angry and irritable among others.

Accreditation
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
The accredited register is backed by the UK government and is focused on public protection. Only registers which meet certain standards in education, training, complaints and governance and a commitment to public protection are accredited. Therapists who are listed on a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority must be qualified professionals who meet the minimum standards required by that register.
My Training
I trained at Bournemouth and Poole College in Poole, Dorset, UK, on a CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) course.

Confidentiality
All conversations we have remain confidential. The only time confidentiality does not apply is if I am concerned that you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, in which case I may need to pass some information on to relevant parties only. However, I will discuss this with you first where possible.
I may discuss aspects of our work with my supervisor (an experienced counsellor) to assist our work together and develop my practice but your identity would remain anonymous.
I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) as a controller of sensitive data and work to their standards for storing any information about you. More information can be found at: The Information Commissioner’s Office.
Insurance
I have insurance for personal liability and professional indemnity which covers me to work almost anywhere in the world (with the exception of Canada and the USA).
Any claims made against me are subject to UK law.
